We collect only the information needed to publish, operate newsletters, understand site use, and respond to submissions.
Site analytics
We use first-party anonymous identifiers and configured analytics services, including Google Analytics, Umami, and PostHog, to measure pages, sessions, devices, and engagement. PostHog session replay is disabled, staff and private account routes are excluded, and we do not send names or email addresses to PostHog. We do not intentionally store full IP addresses or precise location in our owned analytics.
Information you provide
Newsletter emails, submissions, attachments, advertiser inquiries, campaign creative and staff account data are used to deliver the requested service and operate the newsroom.
Advertising measurement
Advertising reports contain aggregate impressions, validated clicks, filtered clicks, spend and balance. We use an anonymous browser identifier to prevent duplicate click charges. We do not give advertisers reader identities, email addresses, or individual browsing histories.
Your choices
Newsletter readers can manage preferences or unsubscribe through links in each email. Analytics honors browser Do Not Track where supported. Contact the newsroom about access or deletion questions.
